France, Fall 1914
Alsace. Our forces streamed across the border to reclaim our historical territory of the Alsace. With the aid of loyal local French nationals, we were able to outflank the defending 6 divisions of Germans and destroy them, at a cost of only 3 of our divisions. The people rejoiced in the streets at the return of French rule of the Alsace.
Piedmont. In support of our Italian allies, an army of 7 infantry Divisions and 2 Artillery divisions invaded German occupied Piedmont. A heavy fog covered the battlefield, confusing both sides and resulting in bloody hand-to-hand fighting that cost each side 5 divisions and failed to displace the Germans completely.
Switzerland. A probing force of a single Infantry divisions traveled into the Alps, discovering Zurich unoccupied by German forces. Our flag now flies over the Alpine nation, but we don't know for how long.
Atlantic Ocean. Our crippled Battleship squadron retreated, with its accompanying troop transports, to Brest while our Mediterranean troop transport flotilla traveled past Gibraltar toward the Atlantic port.
Paris. 6 Infantry divisions and 2 Artillery divisions mustered around Paris. 27 million Swiss Francs fill our treasury.
