Austro-Hungarian Empire, Fall 1914
Ukraine. At the request of our German allies, our main Eastern army, consisting of 12 divisions of Infantry and 4 of Artillery, invaded Ukraine. A Russian force of identical size faced our forces and took advantage of their knowledge of the terrain. 9 of our Infantry divisions fell for a cost of 5 Russian divisions. Our forces have dug in, hopeful of holding the ground they have taken.
Romania. After moving in reinforcements, including our Fighter Wing from Vienna, we assaulted the Romanian trench lines. Only 1 of our infantry divisions fell in the assault while 2 Romanian divisions, including their artillery division fell to our forces. Unfortunately, 1 infantry division remains entrenched in Bucharest, denying us the ability to plant our flag over its palaces.
Serbia. Reinforced, our forces swept the evil Serbs out of their trench lines and destroyed them. 3 of our infantry divisions died in the bitter struggle, but finally those behind the assassination of the Arch Duke have been held accountable.
Venice. Our 4 divisions from Tyrolia marched into our environs of Venice and led the charge against the Italian positions. Taken unaware, the Italians were swept from their trenches and destroyed, at the cost of only 1 infantry division.
Vienna. 7 infantry divisions and 2 artillery divisions have mustered around Vienna, prepared for continued offensives against our enemies. Enriched by our recent gains, our treasury now holds 32 million Swiss Francs.
Our losses to date: 25 Infantry Divisions, 1 Artillery Division, 1 Battleship Flotilla, 1 Cruiser Flotilla.
